DEC Functions District Education Centers exist to facilitate students' acquisition of knowledge, skills and attitudes by ensuring local education needs are met through the development, implementation and monitoring of a district education development plan and through effective school supervision in collaboration with central service areas and regional education councils.
District Education Center FunctionsLiaising with Regional Education Councils, Managing Authorities and MoE Central Service Areas in the needs analysis and planning process to develop a district education development plan for improving access, quality and relevance, equity and efficiency at all levels of the education system in the region. ensuring adequate provision of education including physical facilities and resources, the quality of the teachers and teaching, and the quality of educational leadership and management;
